Kuala Lumpur: Land of the World's Best Satay

Our two day stay in Kuala Lumpur was a great place to recharge:
  • Our hostel was very clean.
  • We got upgraded from a 6-person to 4-person room free of charge. Woohoo! Another thing to celebrate: it was our last shared hostel room until Hanoi, Vietnam. Not too shabby at all!
  • We ran multiple errands around town and researched everything we needed to for our next few cities: reliable internet cafes are harder to find in Thailand.
While we were looking forward to visiting KL, we were much more excited to move onwards to our next stop: the beaches of Thailand. Nonetheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our fair share of fresh satay down the street in KL's Chinatown...absolutely breathtaking.

Beyond that, Jen and I tried to find smart ways to explore the asphalt jungle of KL. It's quite hot in Southeast Asia! Who knew? :) Luckily, they even have fans in the outdoor monorail stations!

Architecturally, the Petronas Towers really are quite a sight.

Beyond that, we explored some local markets in town and rested up for our journey to Krabi, Thailand!
